2010 was a another good year at the shows.
The hard winter and late spring suited my plants and I came home with a lot more silverware than usual.
Seedlings featured strongly and I even won cards with edged and self seedlings as well as the usual stripes and fancies.
The more established of my raisings (now also being shown by other growers) faired well on the show bench with Trafalgar Square, Strand, Little Amber and Piccadilly enjoying another successful year. In the depths of last winter we managed to move house taking our plants, benching, greenhouses and frames with us. Not an exercise I would like to repeat too often. The new conditions and extremely hard water seem to be good for the plants as the results at the shows proved. Retirement has meant that this year I could repot the whole collection and update this part of the website, both tasks long overdue!! |
